With a rich history, Tila’s™ Restaurante & Bar is proud to deliver authentic Mexican food to foodies throughout the area. While we may not have a physical location at the moment, our taco truck in Houston, TX, continues to deliver the great tastes that we have been known for since first starting our business more than two decades ago. Now we travel right to any site to bring our delicious tacos and catering services directly to your venue.
The History of Tila’s™
For more than 20 years, Tila’s™ Restaurante & Bar was a physical bar and grill that became known for the fantastic food they were serving up on a nightly basis. Unfortunately, in 2017, they lost their lease. Not to be deterred, Tila’s™ decided to continue to serve its vast clientele base by continuing its services through a taco food truck.
Today, people from all over town can enjoy our food as we bring it right to office buildings, upscale apartment communities, private parties, special and corporate events, independent breweries, sports events, and more. We are open to traveling long distances to provide our catering services to help share our mouthwatering flavors to customers as far away as Austin. About Our Owner – Tila Hidalgo
Since the mid-1980s, Tila has challenged the boundaries of traditional Mexican cuisine with inspired, age-old family recipes. From pear and brie cheese quesadillas to tequila-marinated salmon with fresh mango and kiwi slices, the cuisine she offers is anything but predictable. Only someone with a vivid imagination and understanding of Mexican cuisine could conjure up such extraordinary fare!
Customers that try Tila’s creations quickly become fans for life. We always hear about people having cravings for our salmon borracho, filet mignon, chiles en nogada, and our signature Chilean sea bass tacos. They also love washing down their meals with homemade, all-natural margaritas made from an impressive selection of more than 60 premium tequilas.
Tila has worked hard to bring the same warm, friendly, and comfortable atmosphere she created for her brick and mortar store to her food truck. This allows our guests to feel at home while they enjoy the delicious, authentic food Tila cooks up for them.
Additionally, Tila’s™ Restaurante & Bar is an active participant in the Houston community. We try to regularly contribute to fundraisers and support many local and vital charities.
